Southeast Asia

The art, culture, and religion of the many diverse countries in Southeast Asia was influenced by neighboring lands, particularly India. This is seen in works of art in the Museum’s collection, including small Buddhist sculptures from Thailand and Cambodia, secular works of art from Thailand, and examples of contemporary art from the region.
